Challenge & Approach
Google's privacy policies can be complex and lengthy, making it challenging for consumers to understand the implications of sharing their data. The language used in these documents can be technical and difficult for the average user to comprehend. In explaining how Google is protecting user data, we used the simplest language paired with minimal illustrations.
Process
As a Senior Visual Designer on the project, I was responsible for sketching concept illustrations. We presented 2 concepts - “human-focused” and “UI-focused” and eventually moved forward with the “UI-focused” direction, where we focused on visualizing the user interaction pertaining to the topic.
